Naxos Disease

Naxos disease is a rare inherited cardiocutaneous disorder marked by arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC), woolly hair, and thickened skin on the palms and soles. Individuals are at increased risk for dangerous heart rhythm abnormalities, heart failure, and sudden cardiac events, often beginning in childhood or adolescence. Early diagnosis supports monitoring and risk-reduction strategies.
