Overview
This program provides no-charge hereditary cancer testing for patients at increased risk for ovarian or gynecologic cancers, as well as other related hereditary cancer syndromes. Eligible patients receive an at-home saliva collection kit processed by Color Health. Results include access to certified genetic counselors, supporting clinical decision-making and risk assessment.
When to consider this test
Patient selection
- (Note: This program does not require an outside provider to initiate testing. Color’s clinical team handles authorization.)
- Providers may become involved after testing, when patients share results or need follow-up evaluation.
- Providers who receive results through their patients may use them to guide counseling, surveillance, or treatment decisions.
- No action is required from providers to order testing — Color’s internal clinician network reviews and approves all test requests submitted through the program.
