About this test
VENTANA PD-L1 (SP263) Assay is an FDA-approved, qualitative immunohistochemistry test that uses rabbit monoclonal anti–PD-L1, clone SP263, to detect PD-L1 protein in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tumor tissue. Performed on VENTANA BenchMark instruments, it evaluates PD-L1 expression on tumor and immune cells using predefined scoring algorithms to classify PD-L1 status and guide use of PD-1/PD-L1–directed therapies.
